WHO I AM
AND HOW I GOT HERE
Joe studied Kinesiology at Temple University before attaining a Doctorate degree in Chiropractic from New York Chiropractic College. During his career he studied and passed the examination to become certified as a Full Body Active Release Techniques (ART) practitioner.
As a movement-based healthcare provider he has had the opportunity to work with Ironman athletes, Ultramarathon runners and with the Philadelphia Union. Joe’s true passion, however, has always remained focused on empowering patients to explore their fullest movement capacity. Impressed by the healing power of fun, engaging movement, he daily enjoys the opportunity to empower patients to overcome their pain, bounce back from injury and embrace an active lifestyle.
He learned about the Indian Clubs early in his career and quickly applied these free-flowing movements to physical rehabilitation. In both rehabilitative and recreational endeavors he has since fallen in love with the clubs and continues to use them to facilitate pain-free movement.
When he isn’t in the office or training a client Joe likes to get out into nature by hiking, backpacking, camping or orienteering. For his own workout, he prefers a level of variety in the tool utilizing everything from Indian Clubs to heavy clubs such as Gadas or Jori’s to kettlebells, barbells and the occasional hill sprint. And of course, when it's time to take a breath Joe prefers to stay home and spend time with his wife and son.
